No Nut November is a self-improvement habit tracker for adults: it counts the days of your streak, shows the milestones and benefits you unlock along the way, helps you get through urges with a guided SOS screen, and turns the journey into a game with ranks, badges and a tree that grows with you. This Privacy Policy explains how the app handles information.
No Nut November has no servers and no accounts. We never receive your data: there is nothing to sign up for, and nothing you record in the app is ever sent to us or to anyone else.
The app contains no analytics and does not track you across other apps or websites. The only third-party component is the advertising SDK described in Advertising And Purchases below. It does not use location services, the camera, the microphone or contacts.
Everything in No Nut November is entered by you. Depending on how you use it, that can include:
This information is personal and can be sensitive. It is used only to show your progress, statistics and reminders inside the app, and it is never shared.
Adding a photo to a reason uses the system photo picker, which runs outside the app. No Nut November is never granted access to your photo library — that is why iOS does not ask you for a photo permission — and it receives only the single image you picked.
Before the image is saved it is resized and re-encoded, so the metadata that a photo usually carries is not kept: no GPS coordinates, no capture date, no device information. Photos are never analysed.
Your data lives in a database on your device. The home-screen and lock-screen widgets read a minimal summary of your streak (start date and level) from a storage area shared between the app and its widget, also on your device.
If you are signed in to iCloud, the app also syncs its database to your own private iCloud database (CloudKit), so your progress is available on your other devices. This is Apple’s infrastructure, tied to your Apple Account: we have no access to it, and neither does anyone else. Apple’s handling of that data is governed by the Apple Privacy Policy.
If you are not signed in to iCloud, everything stays on your device and nothing is transmitted anywhere.
The app is free and shows an advertising banner provided by Google AdMob (Google LLC). Ads are non-personalized: the app does not ask for tracking permission (ATT) and does not use what you write in the app to choose ads. To show and measure ads, prevent abuse and fraud and run its SDK, Google may collect technical device data, such as device identifiers, IP address, information about how you interact with the ad, and crash and performance data. We do not receive this data and do not link it to your identity. Nothing you record in the app (streaks, notes, reasons, photos) is ever shared with Google.
In the European Union, the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, you are asked for consent at first launch through Google’s consent form; you can change your answer at any time in Settings → Advertising → Ad consent. See how Google uses data.
You can remove the ads with a one-time purchase (Settings → Advertising) and restore it on any device with Restore purchases. Payment is handled by Apple: we never receive or store your payment details.
If you enable the app lock, No Nut November asks iOS to verify you with Face ID, Touch ID or your device passcode. The check is performed entirely by the system: the app only receives a yes or no, and never has access to your biometric data.
Milestone notifications and reminders for your riskiest moments are local notifications, scheduled by the app on your device from your own streak and history. They are optional, you are asked for permission before they are used, and no notification is ever sent from a server.
You can delete everything at any time from Settings → Reset all data and streaks inside the app; this also removes the data from your private iCloud database. Deleting the app removes the data stored on your device, and the iCloud copy can also be removed from Settings → your name → iCloud → Manage Account Storage.
The benefits described in No Nut November are motivational and are based largely on reported experiences and a limited number of studies. No Nut November is not a medical device and does not replace the advice of a doctor or a psychologist.
No Nut November is intended for adults. It does not knowingly collect any data from children.
If No Nut November ever introduces features that change how data is handled — for example sharing progress with another person, a community, or any feature involving a server of ours — this policy will be updated before those features ship.

No Nut November è un’app di crescita personale per adulti che traccia le abitudini: conta i giorni della tua streak, mostra i traguardi e i benefici che sblocchi lungo il percorso, ti aiuta a superare gli impulsi con una schermata SOS guidata e trasforma il percorso in un gioco con ranghi, badge e un albero che cresce con te. No Nut November non ha server e non ha account. I tuoi dati non ci arrivano mai: non c’è nessuna registrazione da fare, e niente di quello che registri nell’app viene inviato a noi o a chiunque altro.
L’app non contiene analytics e non ti traccia su altre app o siti. L’unico componente di terze parti è l’SDK pubblicitario descritto in Pubblicità e acquisti qui sotto. Non usa servizi di localizzazione, fotocamera, microfono o contatti.

Sono informazioni personali e possono essere delicate. Vengono usate solo per mostrarti progressi, statistiche e promemoria dentro l’app, e non vengono mai condivise.
Per aggiungere una foto a un motivo si usa il selettore foto di sistema, che gira fuori dall’app. A No Nut November non viene mai dato accesso alla tua libreria — è il motivo per cui iOS non ti chiede nessun permesso per le foto — e riceve solo la singola immagine che hai scelto.
Prima di essere salvata, l’immagine viene ridimensionata e ricodificata: i metadati che una foto normalmente si porta dietro non vengono conservati: nessuna coordinata GPS, nessuna data di scatto, nessuna informazione sul dispositivo. Le foto non vengono mai analizzate.
I tuoi dati stanno in un database sul tuo dispositivo. I widget della schermata Home e della Lock Screen leggono un riepilogo minimo della streak (data di inizio e livello) da un’area di archiviazione condivisa tra l’app e il suo widget, anch’essa sul dispositivo.
Se hai effettuato l’accesso a iCloud, l’app sincronizza il database anche sul tuo database iCloud privato (CloudKit), così i progressi sono disponibili sugli altri tuoi dispositivi. È l’infrastruttura di Apple, legata al tuo Apple Account: noi non vi abbiamo accesso, e nessun altro ce l’ha. Il trattamento da parte di Apple è regolato dall’informativa sulla privacy di Apple.
Se non hai l’accesso a iCloud, tutto resta sul dispositivo e non viene trasmesso da nessuna parte.
L’app è gratuita e mostra un banner pubblicitario fornito da Google AdMob (Google LLC). Gli annunci sono non personalizzati: l’app non chiede il permesso di tracciamento (ATT) e non usa ciò che scrivi nell’app per scegliere gli annunci. Per mostrare e misurare gli annunci, prevenire abusi e frodi e far funzionare l’SDK, Google può raccogliere dati tecnici del dispositivo, come identificativi del dispositivo, indirizzo IP, informazioni sull’interazione con l’annuncio e dati su arresti anomali e prestazioni. Noi non riceviamo questi dati e non li colleghiamo alla tua identità. Niente di ciò che registri nell’app (streak, note, motivi, foto) viene condiviso con Google.
Nell’Unione europea, nello Spazio economico europeo e nel Regno Unito, al primo avvio ti viene chiesto il consenso tramite il modulo di Google; puoi cambiare la risposta in qualsiasi momento da Impostazioni → Pubblicità → Consenso per gli annunci. Vedi come Google usa i dati.
Puoi rimuovere la pubblicità con un acquisto unico (Impostazioni → Pubblicità) e ripristinarlo su qualsiasi dispositivo con Ripristina acquisti. Il pagamento è gestito da Apple: non riceviamo né conserviamo i tuoi dati di pagamento.
Se attivi il blocco, No Nut November chiede a iOS di verificarti con Face ID, Touch ID o il codice del dispositivo. La verifica è eseguita interamente dal sistema: l’app riceve solo un sì o un no e non ha mai accesso ai tuoi dati biometrici.
Le notifiche dei traguardi e i promemoria nei momenti più a rischio sono notifiche locali, programmate dall’app sul tuo dispositivo a partire dalla tua streak e dal tuo storico. Sono facoltative, ti viene chiesto il permesso prima di usarle e nessuna notifica parte mai da un server.
Puoi eliminare tutto in qualsiasi momento da Impostazioni → Azzera tutti i dati e streak dentro l’app; l’operazione rimuove i dati anche dal tuo database iCloud privato. Disinstallando l’app i dati salvati sul dispositivo vengono rimossi, e la copia su iCloud si può eliminare anche da Impostazioni → il tuo nome → iCloud → Gestisci spazio account.
I benefici descritti in No Nut November hanno uno scopo motivazionale e si basano in gran parte su esperienze riportate e su un numero limitato di studi. No Nut November non è un dispositivo medico e non sostituisce il parere di un medico o di uno psicologo.
No Nut November è destinata agli adulti. Non raccoglie consapevolmente dati da minori.
Se in futuro No Nut November introdurrà funzionalità che cambiano il trattamento dei dati — per esempio la condivisione dei progressi con un’altra persona, una community, o qualsiasi funzione che coinvolga un nostro server — questa informativa sarà aggiornata prima del rilascio di tali funzionalità.
